1.3 million dogs are euthanized every year in U.S. animal shelters.
Every item purchased donates $8 to help provide a foster home to a pet while it waits for its forever family.
Barks of Love is a 100% no kill, all breed non-profit canine rescue program committed to matching dogs with ideal foster families that will give them the best chance at permanent, loving homes. Since their inception in 2008, they’ve maintained their values as an organization that puts the dogs’ welfare first. Everything they do is driven by their passion for matching families with the right dog. The volunteer organization emphasizes compatibility and builds mutually beneficial relationships to ensure dogs are placed responsibly and given a permanent home. Barks of Love is one of the few animal rescue organizations to take a proactive approach in ensuring the welfare of their dogs. They manage the entire foster process from selection, to training, to matching the dog with a permanent family.
It is estimated that animal shelters receive around 3.9 million dogs every year in the United States, of whom approximately 1.2 million are euthanized. There is a desperate need for rescue facilities and organizations as an increasing number of dogs are being abandoned and neglected each day, especially when dog breeding and dog fighting are increasing at a staggering rate. But simply adopting dogs out can sometimes be dangerous if they are not rehabilitated properly. In addition, the expense that comes with fostering or adopting a dog through the rehabilitation process can be extreme from food costs and toys to veterinarian expenses.
Modropy is partnering with Barks of Love to help lower the euthanasia rates of dogs in animal shelters and to rehabilitate and re-train dogs so they are able to be placed in permanent home through adoption. For each item purchased this week, Modropy will donate $8 to Barks of Love to support their fostering program which offers complete resources to foster families such as food, veterinary care, and guidance to provide a loving temporary home. These dogs learn to finally live in a safe environment with their foster families until they find their “forever” homes.
