What is the meaning of Modropy?

We wanted to come up with a name that best describes the concept of modern philanthropy and decided on the portmanteau ‘Modropy’ that is a blend of ‘modern’ and ‘philanthropy’. We hope to see the word ‘Modropy’ in the Oxford Dictionary in the near future 🙂

What is Modropy?

Modropy is a contemporary philanthropic social movement that is committed to the larger good of humans and society. It is a crowd funding platform that facilitates and encourages conscientious citizens to contribute to the world’s greatest causes by raising capital and creating awareness.

How does it work?

We identify, select and promote one meaningful charity on our website. We create customized t-shirts inspired by the cause and sell them exclusively on our website. From each sale, we give from $6 up to $10 directly to that respective charity. The sale of t-shirts not only raises funds but also helps create awareness. In addition, we encourage patrons to share with their social contacts and remain connected with the charity they just supported.

Is Modropy a non-profit organization?

Even though being a non-profit organization was our initial desire, we discovered through our research the very complicated guidelines, demands and requirements to function as a non-profit. After professional consultation, we realized our platform could also give just as much funds and awareness for charities with less restriction as a for-profit. We found for-profit provides more liberty to deliver for our philanthropic mission, to the needful charities, both national as well as international.

What is your Return & Exchange Policy?

If your clothing item doesn’t fit, we need you to send it back to us within 30 days of purchase. If the size you need is available, we will ship it at no additional cost to you. If we do not have the size available, we would be happy to give you the full amount back in store credit minus the $6 per item donation, as this will have already been donated to the charity you supported. What is the duration of each campaign?

Duration defers from campaign to campaign. But the average campaign last 2 weeks. New campaigns usually launch at 9.00am PST.

Where do you print your apparel?

In sunny California. 🙂

What Quality Apparel do you use?

We source the best and high-quality, tag-less apparel for the best fit as possible. Depending on the type of design we are printing on, we either use 100% cotton, polyester/cotton/viscose, tri-blend or cotton/polyester mix fabric.

How long does it take to get my order?

We custom print all orders at the end of each campaign to enable us to give $6 on your behalf to the charity. We appreciate your patience and joining with us in making a difference!

Once your package ships we will send an email with a link to track your order. Depending on where your product is being shipped, time in transit for shipping from our location to your front door can take anywhere from 1 to 3 weeks.

How much does shipping & Handling cost?

Orders are mailed via first-class or priority mail.

US: $5.99 flat rate.
Canada: $9.50 for the first item and $4.00 for each additional item.
International: $12.50 for the first item and $4.00 for each additional item.

Tracking Number not Working?

The tracking number is generated when the shipment is processed at Modropy. Tracking number requires one business day to be processed as it enters the USPS system. Once processed, it will start displaying the status of the shipment. We kindly advise you to revisit the tracking link after one business day.

What’s the turnaround time to display the $6 per item?

Usually transaction is done instantly, which trigger the $6 per item as soon as payment has been processed. Customer should see their $6 per item added to the tracking bar when the checkout page reloads. In some cases our gateway service provider, Authorize.net first holds the transaction because of various security filters. Once reviewed and approved, the transaction is forwarded to the customer’s bank to complete the transaction. Once fully completed it will automatically trigger the $6 per item purchased.

Absolutely, yes. If you’re a talented artist who can do great illustrations and you are based in the US, we want to talk to you. Please fill in the Modropy Artist Application form and email it to us. Please note that a portfolio of your great work is required for us to review.
